POTP for Noodle's sister Macy

Dear Friends,

I just read at FB and on Noodle's blog that his sister Macy ate a baby sago palm from her daddy's greenhouse and became seriously sick.
She currently is undergoing emergency treatment.

Noddle and his family are so sad that the wild child of the family became so sick and now  they wait to hear from the vet... and I hope for good news for Macy and the whole family...

Noddle's mom wrote what happened here :
https://noodle4president.wordpress.com/2016/01/29/macy-poisoned-herself/

Please cross your paws and send POTP to Macy....

POTP desperately needed for Ms. Sarah

Mom just had an email from Frankie and Ernie telling us
that Ms. Sarah, Mom to Mona, Prissy and Angel Weenie, has not been well lately.
Ms. Sarah recently had a PET a week or so ago.
She was just told she has Stage 4 liver cancer.
She does not have anything on her blog.  Here is the link to her blog
Over the years, Sarah has been making Smile Boxes for all of our events..and has been an
active member in Dachshund rescue groups in her area.
Lets surround her with loving thoughts by leaving a word here or on her blog.

Update from Sammy and Wally on their Oumie

Mom and I received this update today....they would surely
appreciate your purrs, prayers, and virtual hugs....

We just wanted to let you know that we are all hanging-in there. Oumie goes for her 2nd round of chemo tomorrow. Boy, chemo certainly does not pull any punches!! The past three weeks have been pretty rough going with things settling into a "good day / bad day" sort of routine. Oumie has started to lose her hair, which we knew was coming but has turned out to be more traumatic (pardon the dramatic turn of phrase) than any of us,  including Oumie, expected, something so simple can be so devastating to the person and their loved ones!!  It is kinda funny how something like the loss of hair can have such a huge effect on all of us.
On the bright side, the large, angry , red bumps on top of Oumie's head (which first alerted us to her cancer) have shrunk quite a bit and are nowhere near as sore and angry looking...perhaps a positive sign of good things that may be happening inside her body too.

We're not 100% sure when we will be returning to Blogville, mom has taken quite a bit of strain and herself has good and bad days. What we can assure you is that we are reading and check in with everybuddy, but not commenting and that we will eventually be back. Would you mind letting our friends know that we are still here but just laying low for a while please?

We will continue to keep you posted.

Much love and extra BIG licks,
Wallace and Samuel and mom

Sugar - In Recovery!

Let the healing begin!

Out of Surgery Update - Sugar

Sugar went to the dogtur this morning at 7 am (PST).  Of course she was all smiles!  Sugar's operation started about noon (PST).  The vet has already contacted Sugar's mom to say everything is okay but they informed her since the mass on the spleen can cause bloat, they will be doing a gastropexy, (they surgically attach the stomach to the diaphragm). They will also be doing a biopsy of Sugar's liver to make sure there is no cancer there.

She is now out of surgery and so far so good.  Her mom will be allowed to see her in just over an hour.  Crank up the POTP!

Find her blog HERE.

POTP for a special friend...

Hell-o,

Kismet wrote me a message and she told me, that her heart is as heavy as a rock for the lost of a friend in her neighborhood...
" Our next door neighbors are very upset-the dog of their lives is now at the bridge. There are special dogs, Kyla, Stuart, Jazzi, Easy come to mind. Lilly was one of those. Lilly didn't have a blog. You can see the post I'm about to make and encourage emails to be sent to the peeps. The male peep is truly upset and that takes a lot since he is a retired airline pilot and has seen a lot of things.

There's no blog, but  emails will help. Tell the senders to include their location (not specific such as in your case France will do).

mail to:  737pat at gmail dot com

Lilly was a sweet dog and I'm in tears now also.

Love, Kismet"

My heart is as heavy as a rock now too and my tears are running when I imagine how  Liliy's  humans feel now... a lot of us know how it hurts and how lonesome we are when we enter our empty and cold house after we lost one of our furfriends.

So if you have the time please visit Kismet's blog to read about Lilly and if you can, some words of comfort via mail are a wonderful way to help.... to know that people feel with you and that no one is alone in such hard moments brings a lot of power and courage to carry on ....
