Lily Belle, Muffin and their Mom need our POTP

UPDATE
We are sad to say Lily Belle passed away yesterday....12/1/17

We so need your prayers.....
We really need our friends prayers right now.
Lily is currently in the ICU in an oxygen tent and
really needs your prayers.

You see, Muffin was diagnosed 3 weeks ago with heart failure. She has been coughing
on and off and had her checked out. She is on 3 different types of medicine for it and is doing well. While at her follow up appointment this morning, we were sitting in the waiting room and Lily went into respiratory distress. They took her and immediately put her in the oxygen tent. The x-rays (who they e-mailed to their specialist) revealed Lily is also in heart failure with lot's of fluid around her heart. Also saw her liver is twice the size it should be. They are starting Lily on heart med's also immediately. Lily never exhibited any warning signs like Muffin did with her coughing. Lily will also need an Echocardiogram within the next week or two. They think there may also be a problem with her pulmonary vein. Needless to say we are freaking out. Our poor girl couldn't breathe. Thank the good Lord we were at the vet's when this happened.

Lily will remain in the oxygen tent for as long as needed. We are praying the med's start helping her quickly. Our hearts are hurting so bad right now. The two of them as you know, are our much loved kids. We want many more years with these two.

And to add to all this stress.....

I was hospitalized in October with an acute diverticulitis attack.
Never had this happen before. They did a repeat C-Scan a few weeks ago
and discovered masses on my kidney and on my adrenal glands.
I will be having an MRI next Thursday.

Casey

Andrea posts:

Emergency POTP needed!!! Ohhhhh man, I wasn’t prepared for this today. Casey had his heart checkup today, and his EKG was absolutely perfect. BUT when they were handling him, they noticed a growth on his neck. It’s HUGE — I can’t believe I haven’t noticed before. It must’ve popped up quickly, since his last exam was in August.

They think it’s a thyroid tumor, which can be malignant or benign. Even benign can be a problem because it could grow to block his throat or cause thyroid problems. So we’re doing some tests now to try to figure out what’s going on. At his age and heart condition, there may not be a lot we can do. So please cross everything you can cross!!

Prancie could use lots of POTP today

Her Mom, Ellen posted below yesterday.

She has her comments turned off so please leave your purrs and love here.

We will update as we hear from them.

Hi everyone ! I just want to let you all know why I didn’t post on Sunday. Prancie is sick now. She will go to the vet first thing Monday morning. I would have rushed her to the emergency vet, but my hubby feels they just like to run up the bill. She has actually improved since Saturday night when she could not walk and kept falling over. She is still unstable, not sure if it was a stroke, ear infection or something with her arthritis. I will keep you posted. I appreciate all purrs and prayers. And I will get around to visit you all soon.

Her blog is 15andmeowing.com

The tumor biopsy sadly revealed soft tissue sarcoma, and of course, this will require anesthesia. With removal, the prognosis to be cancer freewill be good. You can read in full at their blog, and please share the Power of the Paw for Astrid and her family. Thank you.

Stella Forever has crossed the Bridge her way

Jo,
Stella's mom sent this message to Ann
This is

Stunning Stella's story.

I am here to let you know my sweet girl Stella died last Friday. She had not been feeling well for a few days, she moved outside under her favorite tree, then when that didn't seem private enough, she moved under our small back porch. I called to her, but she ignored me, (Thursday night) and sometime Friday morning, she left for the Bridge and her many good friends who were already there.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I miss her. Our daily lives together were comfy and happy, very routine and when I called her, she came, wagging tail and looking happy. In her short illness, she ignored me completely and concentrated on her end.

As many of you know, I found her at a shelter, telling the tech I wanted a good natured female dog. She told me Stella was good natured when she came in but after living in a cage for 3 months, she just was getting sadder every day (one of those unpopular Black dogs). I took her home with me, and after she got caught up on her running, she was just the best dog I could have imagined.

One of her favorite roles was The Cranky Aunty to all the young pups who came on board (blog or FB). She let them know in no uncertain terms how and when they should be behaving.

She was buried at a friend's farm and I will always miss her.

Casey the Boxer needs some POTP

Hey folks. Remember I told you a few months back that my big ol' heart is just so full of love that it skips beats sometimes? I've been on medicine to control it, but I had a follow-up test this week and I'm back to skipping some beats again. Now I have to take meds THREE times a day, blech. I'm getting another test in a month to see if it's working or if we need to try some different meds. I'd appreciate some POTP to make sure it works. You know I feel fine, but Mommas get worried, that's all. You may leave healing comment and good wishes here or click here to go to Casey's blog

Madi: Wednesday, 8/9/17 UPDATE

August 9, 2017
Madi update

Madi did not eat much at all today.
I bought several new foods and even browned her some lean hamburger.
Her vet was off on today but the assistant on the phone.  She told me the vet on call might recommend an appetite stimulant
and science diet formula for digestive tract issues.
I picked up both.  Got the pill in her at about 4 and was told it would take ~24 hours to work.  When we were cooking supper, at about 5pm,  her Dad asked if I thought Madi would eat if she had ham mixed in her cat food.  We mixed in some ham and turkey. She had to lick the cat food off to get to the deli meat.
This was the most she had eaten all day and this was well before the
appetite stimulant should have started working.
10 points for Dad.

We will see her vet tomorrow at 3:30.

Madi Mom here:
Madi had a good sleep last night, no tummy distress.
We are giving her small meals several times a day.
This morning she has had 2 servings of fishy goodness.
I have 3 kinds of kibble here that she likes or has liked.
She has a kibble buffet fit for a Diva.
She has sampled all of them this morning.
We will continue with the Cerenia and call her vet back
on Thursday with an update.
Thank you so very much for all your meows, barks and prayers
Madi and Mom

We are asking for your thoughts and prayers for our own dear Madi.

Our First Feline Mayoress of Blogville is having several health concerns, likely due to or complicated by, age.  Although she can still twerk with the best of them, her body is just not cooperating.  Most concerning is the rate at which she is losing weight (from 9 pounds to 6.5 pounds).

We're hopeful that her vet can get her through this and back to good health.  In the meantime, please send POTP for Madi, her mom and dad, and for her vet to make the best decisions for the course of her treatment.

Please go to Madi's blog for more information.

UPDATE: POTP for Dad of Raz and Allie

We thank Angel Sammy and Teddy's mom for sending this update last night.

Bill is comfy in his room - just had dinner - when shift changes Sharon is going to go home.   They did a CT Scan and there is no blood clot - they think maybe the lung collapse was due to something I've never heard of - a "lung bleb" - which could be related to his having smoked years ago.    At any rate they don't think it has a thing to do with his cancer or his new medication for the cancer - so that's good news.   They say he probably can go home Tuesday.

Powerful POTP for Cat Daddy Bill

Angel Sammy and Teddy's mom sent me this message below.

Knew you'd want to know - Raz and Allie's Dad, Bill is in the hospital - he and Mom Sharon were at Lowe's and he got short of breath..............they went to the E.R. and they found out he has a collapsed right lung (!) - they have inserted a tube and he's been admitted.
They sure do need our prayers. Bill started new cancer meds this week and they lost dear sweet Ellie. Sure do have a lot on their plates.

POTP for Bilbo and his Pack

We received an email from Mama Beth that we have copied in part below:

Bilbo has taken a turn for the worse. His he is drinking full bowls of water and having problems holding his bladder. We talked to the vet yesterday and she confirmed our thoughts that his kidneys are failing. (He has had kidney problems for the past year or so). Unless he tells us before, we have an appointment with his vet to help him cross the Bridge on Wednesday evening at 6pm PST.

We wanted a doctor we knew to help and we are glad we have a couple of days to spoil him with pumpkin crunchies and as many snuggles as he will let us give him.
Mama Beth requests some POTP for Bilbo, Ed and I(and the Boyz) on the POTP.
Going from a pack of four to a pack of two in a couple of months is going to be rough.
Mama Beth wrote, It’s an end of an era saying goodbye to Dory and Bilbo, our first two babies, so close together…

Dory and Bilbo were two of our very first blogging friends way back in 2009!!

Beautiful soul
Independent
Loving family
Boy did he love pumpkin crunchies
Oh so very much to be missed by all

Piper POTP please

Urgent POTP for Piper

When I woke up this morning I had this text from Piper’s Mom:
Piper’s been off today. Too much to type but just wanted to let you know we may not make it through the night. But who knows, he may be himself again tomorrow.
This morning she wrote:
Still here. Keeps pulling his head to the right. Like a nervous tick. Drinking tons. At one point last night he started twitching when I was trying to trim him some with just scissors. I cut his neck. ðŸ˜¦ He didn’t flinch. (My Note: Normally Piper would have been screaming at Mach 1 that his life was surely over if he got hurt.)
And a bit later:
He’s still holding steady. Still wanting food and treats. (My Note: Yes, he is definitely a schnauzer.)

Please pray and give Piper your POTP. He is my Super Schnauzer Nephew.

Please go over to Angel Lexi's blog and give POTP for Piper who is not doing well at all.

Snoopy

POTP is requested for Snoopy.  His mom (Agnes Bullock) writes:

My beloved Snoopy somehow hurt his right front leg or shoulder Friday and Saturday we had to rush him to the vet. X-rays showed no break so he came home with Rimadyl and I could give him tramadol for pain.

Yesterday he refused to eat his breakfast but he was very active- no pain etc.  Gave him his rimadyl at 4 pm and that was it- he threw up two or three hours later and had six major bouts of the runs.  I was up all night keeping him clean and washing towels. He was embarrassed- he would let me know he had to go then the runs immediately started. And to top that off he was in agony- couldn't even pick him up without his screeching in pain.

He and I stayed up since 4 this morning and he finally slept for a couple of hours. Took him to the vet and blood work is being run. No idea what this is.  Their blog is HERE.
